As you may know, every year, there is an art auction that happens with our very own art concentration! This year is no different, and the 2023 Spring Art Auction is looking like a good one. If you stop by, you can expect food, music, and some killer speeches from three of the art con students you could very well know.
If you have shown up to the auctions of past years, you would know that all of the proceeds go to a charity supporting an important cause. This year, Art Concentration has chosen the World Wildlife Fund Canada as the charity of choice. The theme for the paintings is following suit, as all of them are depicting either a habitat that the WWF is trying to protect, or an animal which they are actively trying to un-endanger. To raise these funds, the paintings which have been created will be up for auction. When you see a painting you like, you can bid on it, and if you win, you can take it home with you the same day!
The auction is taking place on Thursday, March 30th from 6:30-8:30pm in the Galt Library.
