Event description
For the last few school years, COVID-19 has greatly influenced most of the aspects of our lives, including our school life. Not only was "online school" or "distance learning" put into place, but most activities were taken from students. With the decrease of governmental protocols relating to COVID-19, we've been able to return to somewhat of a "normal" lifestyle. This year, there will not only be multiple sports teams, but clubs open to everyone in the school.
So, this year at Galt, more specifically, on September 8th during noon hour in the cafeteria, the school will be hosting a club day, where students will be able to learn about existing clubs from representatives that will be present at the event, as well as sign up for those clubs. These include Student Council (looking for a Level 1 representative, or guest members), Galt's student newspaper, the Piper Post (looking for writers and photographers) as well as a panoply of interest-based clubs.
Didn't find a club you're interested in and have an idea for a cool club? You may also take an application form that will be available on site where you can fill in your idea for the club, try to find people interested in participating, and complete all the steps to get your club into place.
If you can't make it then, and are still interested in participating or starting a club, you can make your way down to Student Activities in Central, where the sign up sheets will be available for a few days past the event.
