Shatter Me is a young adult, dystopian, thriller intended for readers aged 14 years and up. The novel is a captivating, interesting and emotionally triggering novel which will have you turning pages until the end. It is a quick read with short chapters, cliff-hangers and a lot of suspense! The novel tells the story of a young girl, with unnatural powers that are used against her will as a weapon, and finding strength in herself to fight back. Shatter Me explores the topics of both physical and emotional isolation, with a young heroine learning to overcome both. The series contains a series of plot twists, suspense, adventure, action and excellent character development, not only for one character but several. Shatter Me is the first book in the 6 book series with a bonus 5 novellas. Shatter Me, Unravel Me, Ignite Me, Restore Me, Defy Me and Imagine Me are the six main books in the series.
Shatter Me is the perfect novel for anyone in a reading slump or who have a hard time becoming engaged in a book. Although it is a series of 11 (including the 5 novellas), the novellas are optional and all 6 books are page turners and continue to get better. Personally, Shatter me is the third best book in the series, with Ignite me (book 3) being first and Defy me (book 5) at second. However, the entire series is incredibly fun to read. The suspense, plot twist and character development make it an amazing read. The Shatter Me Series is my all time favorite book series, with Ignite Me (book 3) being my absolute favorite book. The Shatter Me series is perfect for a one time read, a re-read or even re-reading it 3, 4 times, it never gets boring. Shatter Me is a great book for those who love to annotate books as well, whether it is notes in the margins or simply tabbing the pages, it's perfect for all.
